Steering Committee

The duPont Manual NHS Steering Committee gives members the opportunity to become more active in NHS and show how much of a natural leader you are. Not only will you be able to make decisions for the National Honor Society as a whole, you will have a large impact on the community.

If you would like to join the Steering Committee, it meets from 7:00 - 7:30 am in Dr. Rash's Room (Rm. 206)
the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month.

Steering Committee members have the following characteristics:

1) Become role models for all of NHS and aide other members when other problems may arise.
2) Attend all steering committee members.
3) Attend all informational meetings for the National Honor Society.
4) Help planning service projects, chapter gatherings, and resolve chapter issues.
5) Any juniors desiring to become an officer next year MUST join steering committee before the 2nd Steering Committee meeting in September.
Nominations for officers are normally announced at the December Chapter meeting with formal elections at the January meeting.  You can find an Officer Application under the Documents section of this website.
