- LD Debate.org - run by Jon Cruz of Bronx Science, it's a lively forum for Lincoln-Douglas debate.
- Cross-X - typically used by more advanced debaters, but is useful for evidence trading and novice advice. Check the forums, particularly the Novice forums.
- Debate Central - good topic overviews for both Lincoln-Douglas and Cross-Examination debate, as well as links to evidence resources and discussions. Check the Learn Debate, Current Topics, and Evidence pages for good information.
- Wikipedia's entry on policy - surprisingly good overview of policy debate and the major arguments used by debaters
- Suite101 article about policy debate.
- UVM Debate Videos - good videos of actual rounds. **Note: Keep in mind these are advanced debaters at high levels of competition.
- UVM's "Critical Advocacy" Series - A series of lectures in which the top debate coaches from around the country discuss and introduce debate.
- UVM Rostrum Archive - articles from The Rostrum, the National Forensic League (NFL) newsletter. Can provide good instructions on "big picture" concepts about arguments.
- Planet Debate - founded by two of the top debate coaches in the country, Planet Debate offers both free and commercial files, a policy guide (CX Guide), judge philosophies, casebooks, research links, backfiles, and handbooks. **Note: requires registration to access files
- Fantasy Congress - useful for politics Disadvantages; good, extensive listing of current legislation that is being debated in Congress, who supports it, and what each piece of legislation entails.
