Mission:
duPont Manual High School's Guidance Department is an integral part of the educational process. The dedicated counselors in the department work as student advocates in providing a number of services for our student body, their parents, and faculty. They work closely with the administration and faculty, and promote emotional, social, and career development of the student attending Manual. These services provided by the Guidance Department are as follows:
  • Academic counseling
  • Standardized testing
  • Career counseling
  • Personal counseling
  • College counseling
duPont Manual High School is a college preparatory institution, therefore counselors support students in achieving success academically, along with developing skills needed for college. Personal issues will be handled professionally, following the rules of confidentiality. Through personal and academic advising, the counselor works to allow the student to explore solutions using their own talents and they learning techniques that will be beneficial for future decision making. Visit the other sections of the Guidance website to learn more about the department.

Counselors are assigned by student's last name; so you're more than just a name to your counselor--you'll work with these professionals during your tenure at duPont Manual High School.
