Advanced Placement PowerPoint from College 101 Night Advanced Placement Exam Calendar Letter to Parents/Guardians Registration Form Important Information about AP Exams 09-10 Reminders: *AP Registration: February 22-26, 2010 in the Guidance Office from 7:30am-3:00pm. *$86/exam - checks or money orders only - no cash accepted. *Free-reduced lunch students - register with Ms. Teague. *If student has a scheduling conflict or needs an approved late exam, they must register with Ms. Teague. *Students will only need one registration form to register for one or multiple AP exams. Note: Students will be responsible for full cost of each AP exam this year, which is $86. The district will not be able to pay the $25 per exam, which has been done in the past. 2008-09 Statistics: Number of Test Taken: 1,632 Student: 881 Score of 3 or Higher: 82% Score of 4 or Higher: 59% Score of 5: 30% ADVANCED PLACEMENT SCHOLARS The College Board recognizes outstanding Advanced Placement students through its AP Scholars Program. There are different levels to the program, as outlined below: *AP Scholars Granted to students who receive scores 3 or higher on three or more AP exams. *AP Scholars with Honor Granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken, and grades 3 or higher on four or more of these exams. *AP Scholars with Distinction Granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken, and grades of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams. *AP State Scholars Granted to the one male or one female student in each U.S. state and the District of Columbia with grades of 3 or higher on the greatest number of AP exams, and the highest average grade (at least 3.5) on all AP exams taken. *AP National Scholars Granted to students in the U.S. who receive an average grade of at least 4 on all AP exams taken, and grades of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams.
