Welcome!
Thank you to all of the team members, parents, Manual staff and friends for your support during the 2011-2012 season.
Bowling is beginning its sixth season at duPont Manual High School for boys and girls. The upcoming season looks to be promising for both teams. The boys are returning a strong core of bowlers from last year’s Regional runner up and state tournament final four team. The girls are also returning a strong core from last year’s team and are poised for a great season. We look forward to the addition of some outstanding new team members for both teams.
This past season the Crimson Rams marked several noteworthy individual accomplishments in their fifth season. For the girls junior Raylin Benningfield was voted bowler of the year and junior Amber Kleitz was selected to First Team All City. Junior Kiefer Hillerich and senior Cameron Shulak were selected to First Team All-City. Kiefer Hillerich also finished second in the State singles tournament.
Signups are August 30th & 31st in the Manual court yard after school. Non-mandatory practices will start after Labor Day, with tryouts shortly after that. The teams practice Fridays @ 3:30 and Saturdays @ 1:00 at Rose Bowl.
The regular season starts after October 15th. Regionals are scheduled for mid- January. The State Championship is February 7th (singles) and February 8th (team) at Louisville’s Executive Strike and Spare.
Even if you are new to bowling, come on out. Our coaching staff has years of experience of taking brand new bowlers from the novice level to being a contributing a member of the starting lineup. It’s all up to you.
