How to Read Literature Like a Professor/ Thomas Foster
Read the following short stories. Choose two stories to analyze, basing your analysis on the theories about fiction Thomas Foster discusses in his book. You will have two essays due the first day of school. Each essay should fully examine the stories and whatever elements of fiction the writers use to develop their stories and impart a theme or message to the reader. Your essays MUST be typed and double-spaced. Make sure you quote text from the stories and Foster’s book to support your ideas.
